About Linefinder

Linefinder exists because comparing broadband in the UK is unnecessarily hard. Prices are introductory, availability is street-by-street, and the important terms sit in the small print. We translate that into something you can read in a few minutes and act on.

What we do

We publish plainly written guides to how UK broadband works, and a comparison view of the packages most households actually choose between. Every price we show carries the date it was checked, and the page warns you when that data starts to age.

We do not sell broadband, we do not install it, and we never take your payment details. When you decide, you complete the order on the provider's own website under their terms.

Who runs it

Linefinder is an independent publication. It is not a telecoms company, a broker, or an agent for any provider — which is the point. We have no sales targets to hit and no packages of our own to push.

The site is written and maintained independently. We read providers' own price sheets, contract terms and regulator guidance directly rather than repeating press releases, and every price we publish carries the date it was checked.

How we are funded

The site is free to use. If we enter affiliate agreements with providers, we may earn a referral fee when someone signs up through a tracked link — at no extra cost to you. Commission never buys a ranking, and we label commissionable links.

Our current position, which we keep up to date, is set out in the Affiliate Disclosure.

Corrections

If you spot a price that is wrong or a claim that is out of date, tell us and we will fix it. We would rather be corrected than be quoted.
